CHURCH LEADERS ARE A KEY PART OF OUR MISSION

How can the church get involved?

Here are some of the ways the church can support Maker Girls:

  • Volunteer as a mentor (women ages 18 and up).

  • Provide meals for the mentors or snacks for the girls.

  • Be a guest speaker. We also welcome speakers to host workshops for the girls – some topics we like are sewing, crafting, photography, banking, marketing, design, journalism, dance, music, law or business.

  • Partner financially: sponsor a club and/or girl to participate in club for a year. Donate here.

  • Partner through prayer. Sign up for our email list and receive occasional prayer updates.

  • Grant writing. Use your professional skills to strengthen our future ministry.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE A MENTOR

Who can be a mentor?

Mentors must be believers in Jesus Christ and females of at least 18 years of age. We also require for you to be part of a church community.

What are the requirements to be a mentor?

Members should desire to be strong Christ-centered role models who share our vision to reach girls with the love of Jesus. You must be an active member of a church and provide at least two references. Mentors commit to leading one day every other week, along with training activities.

If you have a passion working with young women, serving the Lord, fashion or mentoring, this is a great opportunity for you!
